White Sneakers - Do You Need To Buy Designer For The Look?
Last year I wrote How To Style Sneakers This Winter, as we don't only wear sneakers to the gym as they have become a fashion trend for all seasons.
But one question I am often asked is: "Do I have to buy the designer styles?"
There are two answers to this question.
If you are someone like me who likes to invest in their wardrobe, a woman who wears their shoes for years, over and over, until they are down to $1 per wear, then the answer is yes.
My designer Acne Studio sneakers, which I wrote about in the article above, are still going strong. I wear them nearly every weekend, no matter which season and they always look new and on trend. Although they cost $490 five years ago, I have worn and worn them and they still have many years of wear left in them. (They are now $600 to buy brand new, as they are so popular). It is actually very rare for me to buy designer shoes, especially with so many fantastic brands that have shoes at cheaper prices, but for me, they were worth saving up for and are a great investment piece as I will have these shoes in my wardrobe forever, with the trend here to stay.
For those who think spending $490 plus on a designer pair of sneakers is extravagant, you can still spend up to $200 and buy a good quality and stylish pair of sneakers that you will enjoy for an extended period.
It's great that we have the option. Here are some of my favorite styles to help you to choose what is best for you.
