What Is The #1 Mask To Save Your Skin After 30?

What Is The #1 Mask To Save Your Skin After 30?

My skin at 50 looks and feels better than at 30.

My skin at 50 looks and feels better than at 30.

When I hit my 30's, the shift in my skin began.  I don't know about you, but by the time I hit 40 and then 50, these shifts were not subtle anymore; they were huge.

I am sure I am not alone here in saying I wish I could turn back the clock and not lie out in the sun for hours with baby oil on my skin when I was younger.  But hey, I’m a sun-loving Aussie and that was the 80's, before we knew just how damaging the sun is to our skin.

In my earlier years I could get away with the occasional mask, which I often enjoyed over a glass of wine or two on an evening of ‘beauté’ with my gorgeous friend Ivan.  But just like it takes me longer to recover after a night of partying, my skin now takes longer to recover from the elements of the sun, dehydration and general life.

My motto with my skin has always been "prevention is better than a cure" so as my skin has matured with my body (sagging rather than lifting!), it was essential to increase my facials and home care routine.

The mask I love, which I use weekly on my face and my sun-damaged décolletage, is the DMK take home masque, used to maintain your skin between visits to your DMK clinic.

I spoke with Narelle, my gorgeous skin therapist from Evoke, who told me the mask is designed to remove dead cell buildup and detoxify the skin. This unique masque is best applied weekly and combines a powder (foamy lift) and gel (exoderm peel) which, when mixed, tightens and firms the skin, assisting to improve blood circulation and leaves you with a fresh, radiant post-treatment glow!

A word of warning - if you don’t want to see what you will look like in your 90’s, don’t look in the mirror once the mask has set.  And especially don’t let your children walk in to see you and your husband both sitting on the couch wearing masks!  Our daughter nearly fell back down the stairs laughing when she saw us last week.

And yes guys, real men do have facials and do home treatments to their skin.  Something fun you can do together as a couple.
