Our Guide To Investing In Evening Wear
In March this year, I wrote "How To Plan Your Outfit For A Formal Event" - an article which many of you loved and wrote to me about. It seems to be a huge problem for women who want to enjoy going out at night, but don't want to break the budget on an outfit they rarely wear.
This year I have invested in a wrap top (down from $390 to $220) and wide leg pants (down from $390 to $270) from Sass and Bide, which I have worn often with my Ginger and Smart heels (down from $449 to $269).
But what I love about this outfit is I can split them and wear with other items in my wardrobe, as shown in the images below, where I have pulled out blazers and tops I already owned from other seasons to wear with the pants. I also wear the top with my leather pants and other tight fitting jeans from my wardrobe.
So, one "investment outfit" to wear to a formal event becomes several outfits when teamed with many other options in my wardrobe. Who else loves this idea?
