5 Rules To A Better Wardrobe

Many of us don’t stop and think about this, running around between family, work and social commitments. But looking and feeling fabulous every day is achievable - and the first step is to clean out your wardrobe! Here are our 5 rules to a better wardrobe.
1. Know Your Style
Your style is about what is you and what isn’t you. You have a particular style that suits you. Everyone does. Part with anything that you feel may not express the “real you” you are now or wish to become. Clothes, shoes and accessories.
2. Save Your Fav’s
Save your favorite clothing items but at the same time be realistic and remember that change is a good thing to be open to. If you are 50 and you still have the jeans you wore when you were 27, it is time to toss them out. No excuses!
3. Be Serious
Clearing out is a great thing. Getting rid of the old allows room for the real you to be seen. It is time to be in the moment, not reflecting fondly back on a favorite item you haven’t worn in 10 years. Let it go.
4. Take Your Time
Don’t rush in and go crazy - separate items out into piles and take your time when deciding on what to keep and what to toss. But remember the above three rules and make sure you do have a pile at the end that won’t be returning to the hangers. You will have less to choose from tomorrow, but I can guarantee you will love having the clothes you will enjoy wearing front and centre in your wardrobe, instead of hidden amongst the unwanted items.
5. Seek and Destroy
Once you have finished seeking out all the items that are not your style anymore, remove them from your life. If they are in good condition you could donate them to a charity op shop, or swap or trade them, or sell them online or at a market. But if they are past their use by date, destroy them. The main thing is do not put them back into your wardrobe!
