On Saturday night many of us watched the beautiful and romantic royal wedding.  Moments of Prince Harry saying to Meghan “You look amazing, I am so lucky,” and “Wow” when he pulled back her veil.  Watching him lovingly play with the rings on her fingers and when he couldn’t wait to kiss his bride once outside the church.

But someone else stood out to me on the day, someone who emotionally moved me.  Can we all take a minute to admire the one family member of Meghan, her beautiful mother Doria Ragland, who would have been entirely out of her comfort zone travelling to another country and being placed in a position extremely foreign to her lifestyle?

Doria handled the situation with poise, grace and dignity.  This strong woman sat alone and watched the daughter she lovingly raised become a Princess.

I was deeply moved by this mother’s devotion to her daughter.

A mother’s love. A fantastic and resilient woman.  One who stole my heart on the night, especially with the absence of Harry’s beautiful mother, Princess Diana.

Did you admire the strength of Doria too?
