Flour And Sugar Free Brownies You Will Love
A few years ago, mainly through social media, I began to discover unusual and tasty recipes that tasted like I was eating chocolate and sugar, even though I wasn't! These recipes have been a lifesaver for me, primarily as I was always known for hiding Lindt chocolate in the laundry, which I used to enjoy while folding the washing at the 3 pm slump when I was craving something sweet to eat.
This yummy guilt-free treat, which is delicious and high in taste, is one I have continued to make and enjoy and one I have shared with many friends. I thought you might also enjoy it.
(I made these for my children and they didn't know they were a healthy version of brownies!)
You can also make these in a Thermomix.
Recipe makes 9:
2 Medium sweet potatoes peeled and chopped.
1/4 cup of raw cacao powder
1 and a 1/4 cups ground almonds or almond meal
1/4 cup raw honey
1/2 cup dates
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (stir through after blending)
Pinch of sea salt
Preheat oven to 180c, line an 8 x 8 tin with baking paper.
Boil sweet potatoes for 5 mins, then blend.
Add everything else, except walnuts and blend until smooth. Stir in walnuts.
Place in tin and bake for 25 mins.
Cool before attacking them or hiding from the family.
