Information From The RCH On Knitting For Babies
A word from the Royal Childrens Hospital:
Thank you everyone for your support with this article and all your beanies (and other knitted items). We have been in contact with the Royal Children’s Hospital Foundation who have said they too have been overwhelmed by the heartfelt generosity shown by Cazinc readers.
With so many beanies donated, and a great need to raise funds for the sick kids at RCH, the RCH Foundation has forwarded the extra beanies to its Auxiliaries, an amazing group of people who donate their time and efforts to fundraise for RCH. This community of volunteers have been serving the hospital for over 95 years and will sell the beanies at their stalls with 100% of the sale price going directly to fund programs, services and medical equipment at RCH.
With the call out run by Cazinc having been so successful, the RCH Foundation will be teaming up with Cazinc to suggest fundraising projects and other effective ways to continue supporting RCH. Whilst this is being developed please hold on to any items you have made to donate.
In the meantime, the most effective way of supporting RCH is to donate here.
Thank you all once again for your efforts and kindness.
Here is a link to the first of our new projects - Knitting For Children In Nepal where they need knitted items for children. They too have plenty of beanies for babies, but need knitted items for children 1 year of age, plus. All the details are in the link above.
