Season 5 - Married At First Sight Drama
We are coming to the end of another drama-packed season of Married At First Sight. Season five has been full of commotion and spectacle and my television may never recover with all the yelling at it has received!
Reality Television - why are we addicted??? (My husband claims to have the cleanest sock drawer while this show is on, as he would rather clean this out than watch with me!)
There has been the villain, Dean, who has given us more than one cringe moment with wife swapping, the lies, the “time to grow up” boy’s night, claiming he is a feminist and the awkward rapping. The “ice-cream” millionaire, Justin, who needs to unfreeze his emotions and stop hiding behind his company. And Davina, who decided she didn’t like her husband and did everything to try and wow Dean (Deano!), but was destroyed with the ultimate betrayal when Dean decided to stay with Tracey.
Then we have the “speak in the 3rd person” Nasser, the ultimate clean-freak who is in love with cleaning more than women.
The funny couple of the season have been ditzy Troy and straight-up Ash, who are entirely competitive and mismatched but have tried to make it work, and in between their fighting often laugh together.
We have also witnessed some couples who've had relatively smooth sailing right up until now. I have loved watching John find love the second time around with beautiful Mel, who didn’t ditch him for not being Polynesian! Fingers crossed John and Mel stay extremely happy together. Time will tell.
My favourite couple of the season has been gorgeous Sarah and Telv. It is lovely to see Sarah become more confident (after her painful relationship history) with gentle natured Telv. He has gently nurtured Sarah back to love, and Sarah has given Telv the magical makeover. Gorgeous.
Have you ever wished that you could be one of the stars of this show? Here's your chance! If you are single and setting your sights on MAFS, Channel 9 is already signing people up for next seasons show. All you need to be is be over 25 years of age, single, and as we hear every episode, genuinely looking for love. Filming takes place from August to December, so you must be available.
There are no cash prizes available, only looooove! If you are on the lookout for the partner of your dreams, chosen by the “experts” you can apply here.
