The Art Of French Women Conversation
Many French women have a quiet confidence, enviable personal style, colour knowledge, education, strength, companionship and feminity.
It’s kind of like baking a cake. When you take the time out to purchase the right ingredients, measure them out carefully, follow the recipe and know how to mix and stir thoroughly and have the knowledge to put it all together, you end up with the right texture and taste in the cake. As recipes have been passed down with love for generations, so have the style secrets been passed down to the French women. Many have put it together in all aspects of their lives to be successful, elegant, stylish and happy.
French women are elegant and very feminine. They possess power and strength from their confidence and knowledge of elegance and feminity.
They are taught how to be stylish women in most aspects of their lives, from dressing, shopping, grooming, entertaining and cooking. They have a love and respect for their cuisine, produce markets and wines. They live and breathe fashion and have an innate appreciation of art. They have a complex protocol of old-fashioned good manners.
They would never dream of asking personal questions, such as “Where Do You Come From?” or “What Do You Do?”
Although if you initiate a conversation with them or ask them for help, (any excuse to get them talking), then more so than not they will talk. They love to tell you about Paris as they have a grand love for the city. Each Parisian has a compelling and infectious enthusiasm for their city and their particular world.
French women don’t spend their social time talking about the weather, diets, fads, television or stuff! They spend their shared time talking about what they love including books, art, culture, hobbies, movies, politics, family, food and philosophy. They are interested in learning and engaging when speaking. They are very proud of their history and they are delighted to be French.
"That amenity which the French have developed into a great art.....conversation" - Cornelia Otis Skinner
I have been studying French women for years. This passion initially started when I met a gorgeous French woman, Chantal, when I was around twelve years of age. Chantal worked with my father and she was the most elegant woman I had ever met. Our meeting was brief but one I always remembered. Chantal was also an outstanding cook and her simple meal of steak, potato, beans and gravy was one to remember. I was fortunate to meet up with Chantal a few years ago when I yearned to learn the French language, and Chantal was my teacher (and she also taught my daughter to speak French at school). Chantal was still a beautiful, elegant lady and her small baked treats at our French class were delicious.
I had the pleasure of meeting up with Chantal for lovely conversations over a café late and an excellent French tart or cake for many years.
The conversation was one I always looked forward to having. We never spoke about people, diets or "stuff". Instead our discussions were about travel, French cuisine, movies, books and art. Topics I always enjoyed discussing.
