7 Ways To Style Your Empire Line Dress
Only Julian Ferro from DEA The Label and I would decide to do a photo shoot on the windiest day of the season, but we managed to brave the elements and soldier on and have loads of fun and laughter during the shoot.
"The secret of great style is to feel good in what you wear" - Ines De La Fressange, Parisian Chic.
On Friday we wrote about the Empire Line dress and showcased the dress I have been wearing all summer. When styling clients, I don't just clean out their wardrobes; I love teaching them how to take one item and wear it many ways, which is precisely what we are hoping to achieve today.
The weather is cooling down, especially in the mornings and evenings, but can still be very warm during the day. These styles are fabulous to extend the life of your summer dress into autumn.
So once you have ordered your Empire Line - Tear Dress, and read this article, you can go to your wardrobe and work out how many ways you can style your dress with what you already have. Please feel free to email me images. I would be happy to show on Facebook (if you wish, but no pressure) or give you tips on your styles.
The whole idea is to purchase one gorgeous and stylish dress (or if like me, order three!) that you will have in your wardrobe for years and enjoy making it transeasonal by adding your touch of magic.
1. Flowing Jacket Or Cardigan
Comfort is the key word for this style. I love this jacket because it is like an "edgy" cardigan. It is comfortable to wear and it is cut up at the back to a bolero style, which is fabulous to show off your gorgeous bootie.
2. Tie At The Front Top
Same jacket, different style.
Tie jacket at the front for a different look.
3. A Vest
This is a gorgeous flowing vest I found on the $20 rack in store at DEA. I love finding a bargain like this that I can play around with.
4. The Jumper
I am still laughing inside with this shot. Julian put on his creative hat and decided to cut up this old jumper he found out the back and run the scissors over the front of it to create a funky style.
Go through your wardrobe and have fun wearing all your jumpers over your dress rather than jeans.
5. Bolero Jacket
Every woman should have a gorgeous bolero jacket in their wardrobe because like the empire line dress, it is a fabulous style for most women because it shows off a gorgeous hourglass shape with the horizontal cut off at your waist.
If you have a figure challenge with your tummy then the bolero jacket is your best friend because it is a fabulous layering piece.
An amazing investment for your wardrobe. You will be seeing me wear this one often on our Instagram page.
6. Pink Leather Jacket
As we have highlighted, pink is the "it" colour for AW18. It is huge with fashion, makeup and hair. I love this pink leather jacket which freshens up and looks brilliant with the dress or over a white tee with jeans. Believe me, if you are making one investment this year, this is the one.
7. The Black Leather Jacket
The black leather jacket is a staple item that many of us would own. I wanted to include it today to show again that you don't only have to wear it with jeans.
I love this style of leather jacket because it is a slim fit with darts through the waist for a flattering nipped-in at the waist style. Great price too. Another worthwhile investment you will have in your wardrobe season after season.
I hope you enjoyed the article as much as gorgeous fashion designer, Julian Ferro (who generously donates many hours per week for Cazinc) and I had putting it together. Julian is also generous with our readers and offers the following:
