How To Fit More Of What You Want To Do Into Your Day
A question I am often asked is "Caz, how do you fit so much into your life?" Let me tell you a little secret. My life wasn't always like this. There wasn’t ever enough time in my day (although I wasn’t achieving much). I was always chasing my tail and not doing much for me.
It wasn't until a few years ago that I started to design my life, focusing on what I want in life, rather than what I didn't want, that my life changed for the better.
Everyone who has asked me this question wants to know how they can incorporate more time into their own lives.
Think about the following:
Do you feel that life is slipping by too quickly?
How much time do you spend thinking about things you are going to do, one day?
Do the weekends pass in a blur while you rush around trying to get on top of things in preparation for Monday?
Do you initiate things in your life or react?
Do you never have anything to wear because you haven't had time to go through your wardrobe, let alone shopping?
When was the last time you had a facial?
When was the last time you did something for you?
If you don't feel right about the questions above, then it is time to design your life, let's put some plans into place. But how?
Write down the answers to these questions you will ask yourself. Your answers will tell you a lot about you and what is important to you. It will teach to prioritise the things you have to do to have more time to incorporate the things you want to do.
How do you spend your time?
How do you feel about the things you do in your life?
How important are they? Answer 1 - 10, one not important, ten very important.
What are the things you are doing that you don't like?
Are there activities you would enjoy and love to incorporate into your life?
What would you choose to do if you didn't have any obligations to anyone?
Make a list of what is important to you.
Once you have worked out what is important to you, try to build on these aspirations and incorporate them more into your life.
This list may start with the following:
Go to your local café
Stay in bed and read a book for an hour
Go and do a pilates class
Book a massage or beauty treatment
Do some online shopping
Go on a date with your partner
Here are some tips on how:
Look at the list you have made of what is important to you. Set some goals or put some time aside and plan, step by step on how you can achieve them in set time frames.
Once you know what you want to do, plan your day to ensure you lock this in.
What positive actions to you need to take?
Enjoy all the moments because:
