What Are The Best Bag Investments?
If you are like the Cazinc team, you are in love with bags; in fact, I think we are the bag ladies. The best thing about bags is they are fashion items everyone can enjoy no matter what shape, size or age we are. Bags are a fabulous accessory to express your personality and mood, a powerful way of telling the world who you are and what you are about.
But what are the best bags to invest in?
We are grateful the days of matching shoes and bags are long gone, but often now fashion is all about the fearfully designer bag the A-listers are showcasing. The latest Louis Vuitton travel bag or the Louise Chain bag, or Prada’s Cahier bag or the Hermès Birkin. It could be tempting to spend your holiday savings or the children’s school funds to jump on the bandwagon.
If you do work in the industry, you might get away with telling yourself it is a career investment, but if this isn’t you, there are many other stylish bags available. If you are on a budget and would love your own designer bag, do what I do and buy second-hand off eBay, or check out second-hand designer shops. I have a few Louis Vuitton’s I use often purchased in this way, and if you are tough on your bags like me, then it isn’t worth buying brand new. I am not after the latest fashions, opting more for the style.
Moving to a smaller apartment a couple of years ago I had to curb my bag buying due to lack of space, so I learnt which are the four must-have bags, and here they are for you.
1. A timeless classic shaped bag with good lines and quality leather. One you will use daily and will be an investment you love and enjoy.
2. A small, elegant evening envelope or clutch bag in either black or sparkles to go with everything.
3. A stylish weekender hold-all bag to take shopping, to the markets, beach, or even use as an overnighter.
4. Something fun or exotic to express your wild side.
