How To Wear Your Summer Dress In Spring
I love this dress. It is a great style for this summer, but if you are like me and can't wait for the warmer weather, here are some different styles for you to enjoy your dress now.
After the huge response to our How To Wear One Top Four Different Ways, Julian from DEA and I had another fun session styling this gorgeous summer dress. We both spoke about investment pieces, but how we don't like purchasing expensive fashion items that will be invogue for only one season. This is why this dress is perfect for my wardrobe, along with the gorgeous cut and style.
If you have summer dresses you would like to wear now, please read on. There are many options when you start to play around. Here are some ideas for you to start.
1. The Dress
Styled with heels for work or night life, or wear with flats during the day to get the most out of your dress.
2. The Culottes
Wear over this seasons favourite culotte pants for a stylish and warm look.
Colour is huge this spring, so pick up some of the colours in your dress and wear that colour in your pants.
3. The Jacket
I love a leather jacket, and this one, stylish and goes with everything. Wear with leather pants and heels for a stylish evening look, or the leather culottes above for a stylish day look. Styled here with jeans for a casual day look.
The dress with a jacket also looks great with stockings or leggings, with boots or shoes.
Denim jackets are huge this season, so pull out and enjoy with jeans and the dress.
4. The Jumper
I showed this style recently on Instagram.
An amazing casual style which is in for spring, wearing a jumper, especially like this off the shoulder style from DEA. Can be worn over jeans for cooler days, or just the jumper.
I even saw women wear this in Italy with heels for a dressy look. The key is to accessorise with amazing necklaces.
4. The Top
Wear a top underneath your dress. Then it is time to play.
Wear over leggings, jeans, culottes, stockings, or nothing.
Accessorise with sunnies, hat, belt, scarf, necklaces. The sky is the limit, just remember to not overdo the accessories.
Coco Chanel always said "Look in the mirror and take something off" - so if you are feeling too overdone, think of Coco.
