I asked some Uni students where they like to hang out and eat, where the best cheap food is with the best prices and a great vibe.

Here are 5 of their best cheap eats around Melbourne for you to enjoy.

1.     Laksa King

6-12 Pin Oak Crescent, Flemington VIC 3031

Malaysian Restaurant “We offer Authentic Malaysian Delicacy and Dining Experience"

Laksa King is directly across the road from New Market Station making it an easily accessible restaurant to public transport commuters.

2.     Bimbo Deluxe

376 Brunswick Street, Fitzroy 3065 VIC

The food menu has Pizzas, Veggie Pizzas, Bagels, a range of chips for sides and Dessert Pizzas

Drinks menu has a wide rang of cocktails, jugs, wines, beers, shots and ciders.

Bimbo Deluxe has cheap $4 pizza times, during the week days and nights and has the offer running all day Sunday.

3.     The B-East

80 Lygon St, Brunswick East VIC 3057

The B-East offers beef, port and chicken burgers, snacks, salads, desserts, a selection of fries, as well and vegan and vegetarian burgers.

The B-East also has live gigs at the restaurant.

There are also weekly events at the B-East such as Vegan Soul Food Mondays, Mind Out Trivia Tuesdays, $1 Wing Wednesdays, Partytime Mexcellent Thursdays ($6 Tacos), and Cheap Sunglasses Sundays with $10 cocktails.

4.     Shanghai Dragon Dumpling House

Dumpling House offers an Asian cuisine menu offers boiled dumplings, pan fried dumplings, wonton soups, dumpling soups and noodle soups.

Shanghai Dragon Dumpling House has a great location in within Chinatown in the CBD and offers a great quick and cheap meal.

5.     Welcome To Thornbury Bar and Food Truck Stop

Welcome to Thornbury is Melbourne’s first permanent Bar and Food Truck Stop that has a wide selection of drinks across the bar and food truck vendors that change daily.

Some of the Food Trucks that come to Welcome to Thornbury include Mr Burger, Satay Truck, Twisted Fisherman, Pasta Face, Pizza Wagon and Crepes for Change.
