10 Top Reasons People Do Not Achieve Their Goals

10 Top Reasons People Do Not Achieve Their Goals

Who is responsible for your success in the future???

If you answered you, you have answered correctly.

“If you want to make the world a better place just look at yourself and make the change”

                                                                                             - Michael Jackson.

There is only one person responsible for the quality of the life you lead, and we know who that is.  That person is you!!

For years, in fact right up until I nearly turned 40, I allowed limiting beliefs to hold me back in my life.  This affected relationships with self, others, my career, family and I could not move forward in my life.  Goals were not set and dreams were not achieved.

Imagine if Coco Chanel allowed limiting beliefs to hold her back?  She would never have built an empire with self destruction.

One thing I realised was we all have the ability to be brilliant and we all have choices.

If you want to be successful, you have to take 100% responsibility for everything that you experience in your life.  Including the level of your achievements, the results you produce, the quality of your relationships, the state of your health and physical fitness, your income, your debts, your feelings – absolutely everything.

10 Top Reasons People Do Not Achieve Their Goals

1.    Don’t believe it is achievable

Having a robust belief system is important.  You have to believe you can achieve this goal and overcome any hurdles.

2.    Not Taking Action

Some people just write their goals and do nothing to achieve them.  You need to know what is required to achieve your goals.  Instead of taking action, they let fear take over, fear of doing the wrong thing.

3.    Solutions to Problems

People often neither see or acknowledge their problems by keeping them locked up inside.  A Coach or Mentor is required to assist with the challenge and brainstorm solutions.

4.    Not enough time

Do you get caught up in the busyness of today’s lifestyle?  It is important to do less, or eliminate something from your life, so you create time to achieve your goals.  Imagine if you cut out 2 – 5 hours of television per week?  That would produce 104 – 260 hours per year.  What will you do with your extra time?

5.    Not Persisting

Persistence is vital in breaking through any barriers you may be encountering.

6.    Too Afraid

Are you scared?  Afraid of success, failure, rejection or not belonging?  Being afraid of these fears can build barriers.

7.    Not Practical

Is your goal realistic?  Will it work?  Is there something else you need to do to make this goal feasible?

8.    Being Ready

Is what you are doing what you want to do?  If not, you need to work out why you keep doing this and what is stopping you from being ready to reach your goals.

9.    Scared of Change

Change only takes a second, change only happens when you are truly ready to change your mindset and shift your thinking.

10.    Not Being Who Need To Be

Have you heard of the Be x Do = Have?
You need to “Be” the person to achieve your goals, then “Do” what you need to do to “Have” it all.  Many people are not who they need to be to achieve their goals.

Believe you can reach your goals and then you can.
