What Is An Amazing Red Wine For Under $10?
Hunter, a knowledgeable wine connoisseur from Dan Murphy's, DFO Essendon had the pleasure of meeting Peter Cummings, winemaker for Water Wheel vineyard in Bendigo, this week. Peter came into the store to show Water Wheel's latest releases .
The Shiraz was wonderful, but the Shiraz Cabernet was out standing, with a rich berry fruit aromas at first, followed by a rich berry fruit driven pallet , perfectly balanced by soft tannins . An absolute cracker, even more so when we are selling it for under $10.00 dollars at Dan Murphy's.
A great drink now wine (a perfect accomponment for the Easter roast) it would happily age for another six years.
A couple of weeks ago I wondered into a new Dan Murphy's, situated at DFO Essendon. Usually when I walk in, I am totally overwhelmed at all the wines available and don't know which one to select. This time I was pleasantly surprised, as there were cards on selected wines with information that was extremely helpful. Then I had the pleasure of meeting Hunter, who has been a wine connoisseur for over 40 years, and also is a qualified chef. Poor Simon, because Hunter and I talked wines for the next hour or so, and of course, we left with a trolley full of some of the most amazing wines I have ever tasted.
Hunter has kindly agreed to write regularly for Cazinc Blog, and we will also have specials on our emails for all subscribers.
