What Is The German 2015 Pinot Gris For Under $20.00
This one a little bit of a surprise. My good friend Gabriel dropped by Dan Murphy's last week and offered to let us try the 2015 Villa Wolf Pinot Gris.
The 2015 vintage in Germany is considered to be one of the best vintages in the last 70 years.
Aromas of lychee, mango and honeysuckle lift from the glass at first; a perfect entree to a wonderfully complex wine.
The first thing you notice on the palate is the viscous, oily richness of the tropical fruit flavours, delicately balanced by the natural acidity. A truly beautiful complex wine that has amazing length.
A wine to chill and relax with and would work well with soft cheese, olive and fruit platter.
A fabulous wine, and selling for $19.90 per bottle.
All the best,
