Melbourne Fashion Designer Kit Willow
On Wednesday night, I had the pleasure of taking my gorgeous daughter Emma, and my sons beautiful girlfriends Abbey and Chelsea to a show at the VAMFF. The girls had never attended a fashion show before, and they loved the whole vibe of the event, hosted at the Melbourne Heritage listed Royal Exhibition building, Carlton.
The show we attended showcased a fabulous arrangement of Australian designers, such as Bassike, Christopher Esber, Bianca Spencer, Camilla and Marc, Scanlon Theodore and one of my favorites KITX.
KITX has showcased it's 7th collection, and designer Kit Willow is an inspiration to all.
Kit Willow is an inspirational Australian Designer, who was removed from her previous company, and has gone on to build an empire.
In 2001, Kit Willow started a company Willow Clothing in Australia, which grew rapidly, and was purchased by The Apparel Group, a major shareholding company, and Kit Willow as appointed creative director. In 2011, Kit was removed from this company, in circumstances regarded as "disgraceful".
Rather than falling over, Kit picked up her bags and created a label loved by all, one which I personally have a few key pieces, including beautiful coats, jackets, and dresses (see below). Her clothing are luxurious items with a twist, ones that won't date and you will have in your wardrobe for years to come.
