What Is In For Autumn/Winter 2017?
February is always a great month to research fashion, as the autumn/winter ranges are showcased. Myer and David Jones have held their signature shows, and fashion week in New York is coming to a close.
All I can say is be prepared for a fun, fabulous, and daring range, with numerous diverse fashion choices.
March is always a great time to make your fashion purchases. Before you go shopping, we have some inspiration for you below, with some great items to add to your wardrobe staples.
Add a touch of Paris to your look with 1920’s style romantic florals in hues of mauve, pink and couture red, black, glitter lurex, with high necklines, accentuated with plenty of bows, ruffles and lace. Mix this with leopard prints, pearls, (look for shoes with pearls). and gorgeous spotted tights complete the bold, but feminine looks.
We don’t need to be in Paris to dress like a French woman.
Jeans and trench coats with floral embroidery are great staple items purchase for an updated look, or why not a leopard-printed puffer jacket? Puffer jackets are back, in bright pinks and red.
For some inspiration and ideas, check out M A Dainty. Call for stockists.
I love these M A Dainty embroidered vintage jeans, and have worn often with a tee and trench. A must have for your wardrobe, as they won't cost a great deal when you look at cost per wear, as they will go with most items in your wardrobe.
Did I mention diversity? Well here is the other style for the season, and audacity is the motto. You need to be bold to carry of the surge of electro furs, sharp shoulders, corseted waists, and oversized street wear. Daring cheetah prints, tailored military styled suits, leather and faux fur.
One designer that stood out for me at New York Fashion Week was Kate Spade, . All designs show-cased in Kate Spade’s New York Collection, are apparent with designers, so you can be daring, be ready to rock an explosive silhouette, channel your inner 90’s, be bold and courageous to carry off the looks that ruled the runways, and dress like a Parisian woman no matter where you are in the world.
