How To Permanently Lose Weight And Cause A Ripple Effect?
Michael has been a friend of mine for over three years. I met Michael when he taught my son, James, in Grade 5 and we have remained friends, mainly via his charity, Footys4All, and his social media, where Michael is a regular funny guy.
Over the past three years, I have seen Michael attempt many “school holiday” diets. Michael has also tried to run every day, only to injure himself playing a charity football game and be back to square one. Nothing has worked long term.
Last school holidays, Michael set a target to lose 5kgs in 28 days.
I thought, “Here we go again!” but this time I was pleasantly surprised.
Michael decided not to diet or run. He chose to eat healthily and walk and surprise, surprise, Michael achieved his goal. Since then, Michael has lost more weight, has more energy and is enjoying life even more.
The number one change Michael noticed about his healthy eating was cutting out his sugar intake. He didn’t realize how much sugar he was consuming from his diet.
Speaking with Michael, we both loved the ripple effect that his healthy eating and exercise choices have made to his family and the community he lives in, including the school he works at.
On a Sunday Michael and his daughter, Lily and friend Tabby walked the 1,000 steps in Dandenongs. The next weekend, many of Lily’s friend’s; Lucy, Annie, Olivia and Tess joined them. After posting the photos on social media, others have been saying how Michael has motivated them and now they too have walked the steps.
Being the larrikin he is, Michael started posting about eating healthy by placing photos of himself eating carrots. #It’s carrot time!
Since then, his children have been taking carrots to share at school, Year 6 kids are ordering carrots from the tuck shop and older girls; Dana and Aliki are getting into trouble for eating carrots in class. The enormous domino effect continued with people posting photos on social media of themselves eating carrots.
Carrot time photos have become huge.
Not only that, Michael’s family have joined the craze and have lost weight, have more energy and are all enjoying eating healthy. Others on social media including Mum Maria are now posting in to say how they are achieving weight loss by healthier eating and better life style choices.
So, as we have been promoting all along at Cazinc, you don’t need to diet and work your body to the bone to lose weight and be healthy. Think of the food choices you are making. Quit, or cut down on your sugar intake and enjoy a balance of healthy food and exercise. It costs you nothing and it works! Just ask Michael, his family and his friends.

Three cheers to carrots! Just don’t eat too many as you will turn orange. True fact!
